Job Summary:
The Chief Information Officer is tasked with developing, planning, and implementing an information technology (IT) strategy that meets the company’s business needs, delivers optimal return on investment, and maintains utmost system security.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Lead efficient operation of the team so that prompt modernization and upgrades of IT are performed as needed.
Oversee projects and assignments within the Information Technology (IT) department.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Establish the strategic direction for the company’s information technology (IT); executing strategy in collaboration with company leadership.
Educate the members of the executive team and designated management /director level members about the trends and opportunities in the technology arena, to ensure the Company achieves or maintains a competitive edge in the technology arena
Identify and recommend new technologies and services that will improve efficiency, processes, and operations; review requests for additional services and upgrades, assessing the costs and benefits to the organization.
Facilitate preparation of project plans and proposals, outlining project objectives, IT requirements, and analytical and programming staffing requirements for proposed systems, as well as related cost and timetable.

Oversee vendor contract negotiations for all ongoing technical support, licenses, computer equipment and software purchases.
Report progress on development projects, resource utilization, and production performance to executive leadership.

Ensure the integrity and reliability of information systems, communication systems, and office systems including the security of data acquired and stored.
Responsible for all computer, server, hardware and software, fax, copiers, printers, workstations. Ensures all are performing properly and up to date per a "useful life" strategy and schedule.
Ensure that the company has effective electronic data security and back up architecture/hardware for all data systems.
Ensure that company’s technology disaster recovery plans are tested and cost effective.
Ensure compliance with government regulations that apply to systems operations.

General Function :
Ensures the safety and security of the Distribution Center Office and sensitive areas. Monitors all traffic in and out of the Distribution Center and acts as a first contact into the office. Operates and assists the switchboard with the overflow calls at the Chariton facility and West Des Moines corporate office.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
Assists and monitors employees at all access points into the building.
Operates the overflow calls from the Chariton switchboard.
Assists and directs callers appropriately.
Checks in visitors into the Easy Lobby software and makes sure they are all escorted into the building.
Assists managers, security officers, and other employees appropriately.
Make sure building and doors are secure for the protection of the assets and employees.
Monitors CCTV and Card Access Systems Reports for work when scheduled and on time.
